Today’s tip is about recycling!
How about learning to recycle aluminum foil tubes or paper towels?
We usually dispose of them in the trash, and it is possible to make various crafts with them.
You can make beautiful pieces to decorate your home.
See this step by step of this pencil holder using recycled material.
- 2 tubes of aluminum foil or paper towels
- 1 roll of toilet paper
- White glue
- wrapping paper or contact paper
- hot glue
- satin ribbon
How to make:
Separate two cardboard tubes and cut, with scissors, in sizes 15cm and 12cm. The roll of toilet paper does not need to be cut is the same size. Using a piece of cardboard, make three circles large enough to line the bottom of each roll.
Using a brush, apply white glue to the cardboard tube and cover it with present paper or contact paper (in this case, no glue is needed). Anyone who wants can cover with fabric or paint with PVA paint.
When gluing the paper to the top of the cardboard tube, make four cuts in the paper with scissors and glue each one inside the tube. After capping all the tubes, apply hot glue on their side to mount the pencil holder. To secure the bow and it does not run the risk of falling, pass a little hot glue on the back of the pencil holder, stick the satin ribbon on it and give a beautiful bow.
